"On March 25th, 2014, Cecilia received a call from Kaiser diagnosing her with Leukemia.
Cecilia almost finished her first semester of college, majoring in pre-nursing, at San Jose State University. Her life changed after hearing the news from the doctor. She was diagnosed with Leukemia ten months after the passing of a close aunt from Lymphoma Cancer. She is only 18, and the whole journey began again.
Even though Cecilia is scared and upset about her situation, she still has the ability to bring warmth and smiles to our faces and hearts. She brings the light out of everyone and continues to strive for her goals, learning along the way because of her goals and aspirations of becoming a nurse. Her personality and spirit is still very alive despite the cancer. She is fighting every day, in hopes to beat it.
Family, love, hope, and God: because of this journey, Cecilia has become closer with everyone and shares her unconditional love to everyone who visits. She has hope that everything will be just fine and her relationship with God has become closer.
She has finished her first cycle of chemotherapy and losing her hair. Losing her hair was one of the saddest things that have happened to her, but she still keeps her smile. The donations will go towards medical bills, travel expenses, and her college tuition once she has returned. However, we ask that everyone continue to pray, visit, and send their love. We are grateful for everything that everyone has done thus far. We appreciate any help that we can get, go Team Cecilia!”
To help join Cecilia in the battle against Leukemia, donations can be made here. Thank you.
